When should you plant? Your valley is divided into units as follows (large to small): Maceti, Ulun Swi and Subak. (A Subak is a single large field.) You can synchronize planting or you can let larger or smaller units plant at times of their choosing. Your decision will impact levels of insect damage and the level of stress on the water supply. (For a more detailed explanation see this article.)

Decide on what advice to give to farmers as to how to implement your crop rotation:

Everyone should plant on the same day.
Each Maceti will decide on the day of planting independently.
Each Maceti will decide on the day of planting independently and... Ulun Swi within each Maceti will stagger their planting one month apart.
The day of planting will be up to each Ulun Swi independently.
The day of planting will be up to each Subak independently.
